Nathaniel Silberschlag and Graham...the photo, that is!
We are so fortunate to live near the fabulous St. Mary's College River Series Concerts on Friday nights that run from Mid-June until the end of July. Jeff, our dear friend, conducts and creates the series...it is amazing.
Even more amazing is Jeff's family, Debi, a bassoonist, Zach, a Trumpet player who, at 17, needs to take his GED as part of the 'process' so that he can graduate college (!)...which he has the credits to do...and move on to become, as he is already, a professional musician.
And 12-year-old Nathaniel, who plays French Horn and apparently has 'perfect pitch' (being born into 'the' family it is not suprising) ... and who is the kindest young man you could ever meet, endlessly patient with Graham and Julia...and trying to teach them to blow on horns!!!
We are forever grateful for friends like this...
Here is a snap of Nathaniel and Graham at last week's River Series Concert.

"Diggy DIggy"
Graham loves 'diggy diggy machines...Julia points them out every time we drive or walk near construction. Lucky for them, there was a back hoe parked in front of Aunt Annie's cottage in Michigan in late May.
That was so cool, Again!
Aunt Annie becomes a true Diggy Diggy machine with the help of a child's yellow lawn chair with an umbrella!

Musical evening with Brian Ganz
June is a series of celebrations for us. Our wedding anniversary is June 16, (AKA as James Joyce's Bloomsday), my birthday is June 18, and Terence's birthday is June 26.
This year we celebrated with a musical evening featuring pianist and Chopin virtuoso Brian Ganz, who treated a small group to exquisite piano music and a tutorial on Chopin's music.
Graham and Julia enjoyed the evening (until Julia started singing, quite loudly, "All the Fish are Swimming in the Ocean, bubble bubble, SPLASH" to the point where I had to promise her a cupcake to quiet her!)...and it was a treat. Thank you, Brian!
