The National Zoo
And just what would 2 almost 16 month olds say to a baby gorilla, elephants, and an ostrich?
Woof
Woof
Woof
We spent a lot of time at the zoo today, and it was a treat...Graham and Julia saw the adorable, sweet baby gorilla, and got a great view of a leopard eating as well as a Biiiigggg Bear ...
It was very, very hot ... but the children held their own ... better than I did. Then again, I wasn't being pushed in a stroller, fed snacks and milk and water, and getting all of the attention these little darlings deserve!
Julia ditched the stroller and strutted...waddled...what have you almost one mile back to the car...she very responsibly held onto my hand...except for those moments when I had to tighten my grip to make sure she didn't go after, say, a gopher in a display, or run up to a stranger because she thought she knew him or her ... or climb into a stroller that she liked (she didn't want to be in her own...kind of a baby's version of the grass is always greener, I suppose).
Oh, pictures you say?
They're coming...really.
Seriously.
Ta Ta for now!

July 4 weekend
Julia dressed up in her red, white and blue girly frock that we all love...Graham? In his little man outfit, button down shirt just like daddy's and slacks...and we all went next door to a party.
Graham played kickball with the other 'big kids' outside (soft balls the weight of balloons!), and had fun chasing the large dog, Hannibal, around the yard and house. Julia? As ever, she made new friends and just had a good time...
We skipped the fireworks...but it was a great night regardless.
OK OK, photos to come.
Really. We've just been soooooooo busy!
